salaam alaikum LOL it's free and make sure that everybody goes on mute as we get started the Charles law this way everybody can hear all right so welcome to welcome to congratulations on making it through this year from the board side on man activities we started the year with witches stomach studies curriculum development and Expansion Project before we go through that I just wanted to Chef couple of things in Charlotte before we get started I wanted to just take a step back and talk about I guess the big picture while we are trying to do the things we are trying to do is that we have and I want it those who are following the call god dad said on the state of the curriculum in the public school and some challenges around identity and some of the things that we are seeing our kids being challenged in terms of how they identify as a person that's actually why we're trying to to establish a the best kind of stomach medication that we can offer to our children it's not something to to address challenges for today or five PS from now it's really about how we maintain our identity for the next Generations to come I personally have to change your kids one of them is Stockton College next year with also have a first degree that I think those first graders in pre-k kids they have the biggest child ahead of them as they grow and try to understand the world around them that's what we try to do some of these things so I wanted to provide couple of updates in sha Allah as we go to today the first update is going to be about the stomach studies development progress to me honestly it's it's equally important to the expansion effort if it's not even more because it touches the core of what we're trying to walk play with at the end of their journey in the school which is that a comfort understanding and feeling of who they are as Muslims and how they want to interact with the world outside once they leave our school so we have to stop team that's been working very hard to to get through establishing basically I a brand new clinic on 47th studies and we are working to get that rolled out at the beginning of next year so what the team has been working on his defining details of that curriculum for all the grades and basically they have been able to establish six dimensions for the curriculum start nation of Caribbean a clock that we want to instill in our kids but then having that kind of start to shape their understanding the world around them how to deal with all of that contemporary issues that they need to deal with as they grow and move through the world between what we learn about us and how we deal with the world around us but also bring that it's unexpected in terms of how to make judgment on on things that come our way and then tying it all together enforcement from studies and has good bad and ugly and it's good always reflect and understand how to apply it into our work so we are developing the character on if any parent is interested in providing any feedback to some of these objectives and dimensions that we had to find in history to reach out to she's not on the call today she's not feeling well but you can find a contact on the school's website. It was at the Feria last update on I want all the parents to to just keep keep that in mind because that's that's like the core saying that I haven't been able to sleep very well last few weeks ago new things that the government is trying to to push through the public school system and I think we just need to pay more attention to our children and have more conversation and just be more in touch with them during the summer and also moving forward so that's that's the start I want everybody to leave the score went first and foremost insurance moving on to the next topic which is our expansion activities we had lots of things that are happening and I give an update couple weeks ago about lots of things happened since then so I want to do that I'm wrong Charlotte to take a few minutes due to give us an update there I hope you're all having a good start to your son for those like me who's children are at home this summer you all have my sympathies it's been an intense couple of weeks for the house full of children from IHOP all of us and I also just want to Echo what brother what doc said which is obviously there's a lot going on in the world around us and the way I at least remind myself and this is relevant both for what brother would laugh said and Expansion Project and that is that allies in full control of the universe allies in control of the moon rising and setting allies in control of the earth going around the sun rise in control of everything and so I start by acknowledging unless absolutely control and submit myself and all of our work to his will and what pleases and the expansion is moving forward I've received a lot of questions from individuals about the status and the Rumor circulating and so will try to clarify as many of those as possible today number one is uncomfortable we have the school property that we've been talkin about Weston Parkway and carry under contract so the school does control the property now we had this part of our contract we agreed to a. Of time in which we would do some due diligence which is basically checking the property to make sure that we understand as much about it as possible that it is suitable for school uses that all of the environmental and physical and other dimensions of the property you know make sense for us and for this expansion and in fact brother what dog has the chair of the school he signed the contract for the property in the last full day of Ramadan and so we're believing around already too much you know almost two months beyond that. So in trouble the goal now is to close on the property in mid-september with the intention that as soon as we close we will break ground on some of the construction and renovation of the building so that we will be ready to go with the new campus next August so a year from this August August 2024 and fell in love. the goal on day one in the new campus is to expect on day one is to expand our enrollment to 450 students which although it might sound ambitious considering that in recent years we've had 300 or for the forthcoming year will have about 336 kids enrolled in sha Allah we have a significant waitlist some or many of you may be affected that waitlist we have a number of students whose families are not I'm on this call who are affected by the wait list the last I checked I think it's about 170 students on the waitlist so we we feel fairly certain that we can achieve that enrollment Target in Charlotte I love for that first year next fall and I'll add in this may be something that you all should be aware of if you're not already that one element that will contribute think to expand enrollment sooner than we had expected is that in the state of North Carolina there is a law that is working its way through to the governor for full signature that will greatly expand the opportunity scholarship Trinity scholarship is a voucher program in which at least as of today families who earn a certain income or less and that income level is actually quite hiding it supposed to hundred thousand dollars families who earn a certain income threshold or less will get money from the state government to support their private school tuition under the current law there is an income threshold and as you go beyond that threshold the number the amount of money you get from the state becomes really small I squeezed zero after a certain point under the newly proposed law they will remove the income thresholds so every single one of the children attending on school will qualify for the opportunity scholarship if that law is full and an executed by the governor or by the legislature so the minimum amount of money that an average family can expect to receive per child is $3,300 in tuition funding that means that the total cost lost her child for attending the school whatever you're paying now will be at a minimum $3,300 less now for the lower-income families the lowest income I should say families They will receive up to $7,000 $10 per family which is an increase from the current level which is approximately 6,500 the real takeaway here is that this opportunity scholarship expansion in sha Allah will make it easier for everybody to attend a Limon School everybody who wants to send their children and so we feel good that this expansion will make Ali Imran School successful it will help address the concerns our brother went off and many of you have expressed about your desire make sure that your children have you know an option to attend school outside of a public school system that may not aligned with your values and our hope as I'm sure all of you have heard from us many times is to have the high school project going sooner rather than later we had originally intended to start back for the second year in the new location we don't have an update a meeting for the update on that timeline yet we're still working toward that goal if there's an opportunity to start sooner Corson, we will do everything we can but starting the high school is it requires a lot of resources and a lot of planning so you know we ask for your dog and your support. If you have an interest in participating in some of the the school expansion related activities or participating and supporting the program in any other way please feel free to reach out my contact information is also available on the school website weather weather is there a couple of things to add in terms of critical dates so we are we're trying to go through our final approval for closing this deal in Charlotte with the shura and we have to get that done this for July 19th in order to make the transaction so that's that the important thing that would work into our listen to to get all these Financial details and together so we can have that meeting Charlotte soon as possible for the deadline and then beyond. we are working towards finalizing the design the admin team is in terms of our kind of programs we going to have things of that nature so we'll be able to understand our ability to address that we can bust that that we have which Delights continues to grow day by day so in terms of culture action donations are nice and I really appreciate them and they will only accelerate but we're also discovering the door is far more important to keep us in your door like we talked about during the fundraiser this is an act of the Sun we are focusing so much on being sincere in our efforts whether it's constructing the deal in a shariah-compliant fashion or the red can for you know how to accelerate bringing the high school maybe when you get here soon enough if that's possible we're also looking for enabling the administration to hanging and higher Motel on one thing that is coming next year in Charlotte as a benefit is that we're offering health insurance put our stuff in Charlotte so we understand that we how to expand in terms of our staff and be able to support more classrooms as a result so we're we're taking these steps to to make it easier for testifying her team retain the talent which we have but also acquire yeah. I think that's all I want to address maybe we can get some questions 7000 questions unmute or pretend sounds like everybody's trying to summer activities let's see those couple of things in the yeah so that. engine is going to go through multiple phases the first phase is focusing on absorbing the the waiting list of course but should should all be possible in the existing building which saves us a whole lot of time in terms of finding space to put these kids on high school we we are planning to put a stop to me to plan what is needed for the high school cuz that's going to be a project and of itself in terms of the curriculum in the space and the programs that we want to support and we haven't made any of those decisions but we we are looking at something that allows us to move and a quick and a driveway to to get started rather than you know go big I may be unnecessarily for the initial demand that we are expecting So So the plan is to to be nimble in terms of how we get moving on the high school and then I'll be able to make announcements after that as the program question is a Leman School donations that got vegetable we are definitely eligible for you so she still haven't split. I don't think I honestly don't think of any other project that is worthy of the future of the next Generations of the skin definitely we can take you to the car money job well then you location have sold off for the daily prayer it will not be a public open satellite will be for the use of the school so that's that's the plan and leverage. Not just for celibate also all different programs directed at our students and their different needs in that environment scholarship wishon assistance that's not a problem I think it's about the clitical dead so we can we can provide updates as they come. Sapphire animation take that long question about Master's and bachelor's degrees I can jump in since I'm not sure I'm totally actually do it through email and then I can just a little bit more based on you know the background of the situation Cholla what's the location for the location is 2400 Western Parkway Inn in Cary that's so it's a beautiful almost 10 acre piece of land with very nice organized parking lot then 5200 square foot 2000 square foot building brother will die if I could just just so that everybody has a sense of the scale the current IR campus which is the white building and the red brick building is about 3.75 Acres so the new campus and carry that we are planning to buy and fella is 10 acres almost 10 acres just shy so you know you can say it's about two and a half times the size of the current element school campus in terms of life now it's it won't be developed to the same density as the current Lima school campus at Echo brother what bus point it presents a unique opportunity for growth because we don't have any opportunities for growth Ricardo Lima school campus the City of Raleigh will not permit any additional buildings or any of their development on that side I have a question like I said feel free to reach out to me directly or anybody else if you're interested in providing feedback on the stomach what is a shock to system so I'll respond to that the plan on day one is to have science labs those kinds of interior teaching spaces and to have a room that we're calling a wreck room it's not a gymnasium the way we have one today building the gymnasium is going to be a really significant cost for this project and since we're just taking on the enormous cost of buying the property and felling it developing it for the school of full-size gymnasium will likely be in near second phase but in Charlotte at the gym or the rec room in the cafeteria and all these other traditional classroom tight spaces will all be included in Phase 1 so we are right on time I'd like to ask my brother if she can just stop spell ar Rahman Rahim Al hamdu lillahi rabbil al-amin I'm going to let my daddy name is Lahm what y'all doing me right now because I will not forget. learn from every evil I'm making my mom sorry I just make them righteous children obedient for us and do you know the day that you wouldn't leave this life and while we're alive and making them or help the McDonald's for us after our death how to make our children the whole and righteous in Charlotte island is Danielle from every fitting and save them save them from every evil and make them the Guardians of Islam and the Protectors of Islam Los Angeles I am still at the ceremony in trouble but I want to come. walaikum Salam
