I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio and that is still "home" even though I've been in Raleigh now for 28 years. My years at Al-Iman started in 2001 as a TA. Since then, I have had various positions and currently manage the library. However, I also host many activities throughout the year and help as needed. My children have all attended and graduated from Al-Iman, so Al-Iman is truly my second home.
My career wasn't always in education. Before joining the Al-Iman team, I was in the medical field of eye care as an optical technician for 14 years. When an opening for a TA was needed, I decided to switch careers. I currently have the NC Early Childhood Credential, Effective Substitute Training Certification and NCATA certification as a TA. This fall I will be returning to Wake Tech to finish the Early Childhood program.
Education has become my passion and I believe every child can and will learn. It takes dedication, determination, and compassion to help a child succeed. Al-Iman has given me great opportunities to grow and be successful. Although this school year will look and feel different, I am hopeful that your child will have a positive and rewarding experience at Al-Iman.
