my name is and I'm an alumnus of L Mann school Michael my name is lied and I graduated Alan School 6 years ago everyone my name is Imani Mustafa and I'm in elemen School alum my name is Huda and I graduated from Eddie man in 2019 assalam alaikum my name is Aaliyah pain and my name is Sue and we are Eddie man alumni from the class of 2017 it's I graduated back in 2014 so it's been exactly 10 years my name is Susanna HUD I went to edamon and graduated in 2004 I went there from first till 8th grade from everyone my name is Ronnie Samara I graduated from elementary school back in 2004 everyone IA and between life changes and moving I'm back in Raleigh North Carolina since 2016 and although I can't put into words how much aliman means to me I would like to take a little bit of time and share a little about it and some of my favorite memories from any man were those involved with the student council uh there was a project we did where all the students came together and we planned a uh passing out homeless kits to the homeless in downtown Raleigh active service really went along long way for me uh for a lot of the things that I did in high school and college my connection with God with my connection with my Muslim Community my peers the Masid all of that really gotten still actually be inspired and I grew up and had kids um going to be in the summer school was able to help start insulin School Insurance um because of and because of my experience there and wanting that for my daughter was also what kickstarted my interest in learning Arabic so I'm now halfway through my junior year at UNC and I'm beginning my sixth semester of learning Arabic and inshallah I hope to finish with an Arabic minor and I would have never thought to become a part of unc's Arabic program had it not been for the great teachers and the great Arabic classes I had during any man school any man School holds a very special place in my heart not just because I went there from kindergarten to 8th grade not just because my daughter goes there now um but 1 of the main reasons is because my best friends now that are so near and dear to my heart have been my friends since any men school any man taught me how to have pride In My Religion showing me that we come from a long line of brilliant mathematicians scientists and innovators courtesy of our Muslim heritage projects of course but above all else it taught me that I wasn't alone having the support of peers who shared the same belief system as me provided me the Comfort I needed to thrive as a minority Living in America back at home it's a reflection of our diversity in our unified Muslim Community in area it has been really foundational in shaping my own identity as a Muslim American and you know when I look back at the man has a proven track record of graduating students who make a difference in our world and I pray that it continues to do so inshallah holds a special place in my heart because it's provided me with a sense of purpose and identity it's taught me the importance of managing both Deen and Dunya and has shaped me into someone who strives for academic this while also staying true to my religion um aliman will always hold a special place in my heart because of the foundation that it set both for my religion and for my character uh any man definitely made me more proud to be a Muslim in America and made me more comfortable to be a Muslim in America and it set that foundation for my Dean and my religion that when I went to high school and when I went to college where there wasn't as much as an Islamic Focus I was still able to hold my own and keep my base our favorite memory of any man is the friends that we made while we were there we now attend University together and because of the Friendship we were able to make their we continued to support each other during school year for all that is done for me and for countless others I ask Allah subhana tala to continue to bless the school its teachers and its students and I pray it grows and flourishes into a place where future Generations can continue to learn and Thrive and carry on the beautiful religion of Islam
