About Me!
Assalamu Alaikum!
I am an American Muslim. My educational background is in Computer Science/Programming. I recently moved back from living in Amman, Jordan for 8 years with my husband and children. We decided to raise our children in Jordan in an Islamic environment and to strengthen our children's cultural heritage/language. During my time in Jordan I had been teaching at the private Cognia accredited International Independent School (IIS) as a homeroom teacher. I have gained extensive knowledge in child pedagogy, English, Math, and Science curriculums and instructional strategies. I love building positive relationships with my students and inspiring them to find their unique individual gifts that help them to achieve their academic goals and skills.
I am excited to be home in Raleigh NC and am proud of how much our IAR community has flourished. This is my second year with our Al-Iman School Family and I am looking forward to contributing my experience to this academic school year as a 3rd grade homeroom teacher at Al-Iman School.
